Coaching can't fix a deal that shouldn't exist.
Coaching is powerful.
But it has limits.
You can't coach urgency into a deal. You can't coach decision ownership into existence. You can't coach timing that isn't real.
Some deals don't need better execution. They need to be removed.
When managers default to coaching instead of qualifying:
- weak deals linger
- strong deals get less focus
- teams burn energy unnecessarily
Not every deal deserves saving.
Knowing the difference is leadership.
